James asks what would your job be called if you worked at RIM? And it goes a little out of control from there.

Some conversation on QNX / BBX and the new phones announced by RIM. RIM stock surged 5% after announcing the new OS for new Blackberry devices.

Tim is from Edmonton – he develops websites and mobile apps.
We have a good chat with Tim about what he does and what he likes and dislikes about Google +.

Can Google + beat facebook?
According to Mashable… that is the wrong question to ask.
A better question is: Is Google Better Off with Google + than without it.

Kurt has some cool insights into Google + and other social networks.

Bob has a circle called “jerks”… Tim says that is interesting.

Tim says he gets overwhelmed with Social Media and has to unplug…
James says that when parents talk about the birds and the bees… talk about the internet too.

Astrid says don’t forget the seniors… they can be taken advantage of. People need to learn how to protect themselves online.

Kurt makes some awesome points about how social media is being quickly adopted by those who have social skills.

Tim would like to see the search stats for facebook vs google now that google + is out.

Kurt says that Google has laid out a pretty good platform… with youtube and other services integrating with G+

Andrew brings it back to phones with the Microsoft and Nokia deal may change the numbers big time if Nokia users adopt Windows Phone 8… it will be interesting.

Kurt says RIM will be absorbed by another company soon… James says Apple will buy RIM just for the patents.

A great conversation about flash…

We talk about how to handle negative comments on Social Media.
